Suffer from migraines? Why don't you just get surgery? DUH!

For those of you who suffer from migraines, here are some things you need to know:
1) Migraines with aura - neurological disturbances before a migraine headache that may include blurred vision, an unpleasant smell or confusion. Some people have plain old headaches (I hate these people) and some have migraines without aura. If you get the type with aura, welcome to the club!
2) For women who have migraine with aura you are NOT supposed to be on estrogen -

3) Caffeine may also play a role - I stopped caffeine intake 2 years ago and saw improvement with the number of my migraines.

4) Botox has been suggested for years and now so is surgery - yikes:

And for those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, piss off...

Sufferers - what have you found that works? IUD? Certain triggers? Hitting your coworkers?

  1. Mine are hormone triggered but thanks to the change in life they are far and few now. But of all the stuff that I tried a good old ice pack and quiet worked best. But I liked the thought of the surgery - fewer headaches and look younger to boot. But of course maybe you don't notice the headaches because you are spending more time looking in the mirror at your new face or talking with more hot guys because of your new face.
